MyGoodPage is happy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day by donating to the Solar Sisters organization.

Solar Sister is a social enterprise that provides women with training and support to create micro-businesses, providing much needed household income for the women, and much needed light for their communities.
This organization appealed to MyGoodPage’s community as it combines a by-women to-women approach which is in the spirit of the International Women’s Day together with an environmental friendly vision of using solar power.
Solar Sister supports the women with solar light for community benefit projects that are chosen by the women, including solar lighting systems in schools, clinics, women’s shelters, and community centers.

When the community members of MyGoodPage.com use the website for their day to day searches the advertising revenues generated through Google help us donate to good causes. While we usually get involved in tree planting projects, this time the help went to a green organization with women in center, celebrating International Women’s Day.
